The most gentle way to say goodbye.

End-of-life care, in-home euthanasia and water cremation services allow you to say goodbye peacefully, honouring their life every step of the way.

We focus on end-of-life and aftercare.

Watermark supports local B.C. families who cherish their pets, and who value having choice in the way their story ends.

  • END-OF-LIFE CARE

    In-Home Euthanasia

Say goodbye on your terms. In-home euthanasia reduces your pet’s stress and allows them to pass peacefully in their favourite place, surrounded by the people who love them.

  • AFTERCARE

    Aquamation

After they pass, we can keep your pet in our care throughout the Aquamation process. We can then return their ashes to either your family, the earth, or the sea. (The choice is yours.)

ABOUT AQUAMATION

A gentle and environmentally responsible aftercare option for pets in British Columbia.

We are the first Aquamation service in the Lower Mainland. Because the process uses water in place of flame, Aquamation is gentler than traditional cremation. On you, your pet, and the environment.

How it works

Gentle on People

Pet owners take heart in the fact that Aquamation is a flameless process that’s both respectful and peaceful. It also produces ashes, which we can return to you. So you can bring them home—one final time.

Gentle on Pets

Your pet will be in the hands of Dr. Schwartz and her compassionate team, who will treat them as though they’re still with us, every step of the way.

Gentle on the Environment

Compared to traditional, flame-based cremation, Aquamation conserves 66% more electricity, uses 90% less natural gas and 95% less energy, and reduces carbon emissions by 90%.

Meet Dr. Regan Schwartz

VETERINARIAN & FOUNDER

As a veterinarian who practices end-of-life care, I know that this is a very difficult time. If you are here then you are already putting your pet first—willing to go through heartbreak to keep them from suffering. It is the ultimate act of compassion, kindness, and love.

I will offer what I have: my experience, deep compassion, and my commitment to make your beloved pet’s passing as peaceful as possible. I will always treat your pet with the love and respect that you gave them in life, and will support you every step of the way.

Give them the ending their story deserves.

With end-of-life support, in-home euthanasia, and water-based cremation, we’ll make sure their final days are as peaceful, respectful, and filled with love as the rest of their life with you.
